Fundamos a Puba com intuito de devolver para a sociedade a ciência construída nas Universidades a partir do desenvolvimento e produção de extratos vegetais de espécies nativas da Caatinga (bioma exclusivo do Brasil), pra promover o reflorestamento de espécies nativas e gerar renda pra população onde o trabalho é escasso. Essa é a parte romântica da história, tem a parte capitalista também, não queríamos seguir carreira acadêmica, e o mercado não iria nos absorver aqui no Sertão da Bahia. Mas depois de muito estudar esse mercado usamos o diferencial dos produtos inovadores desenvolvidos pela Puba para entregar valor aos consumidores e devolver para sociedade o que foi investido na nossa educação. Afinal, somamos 27 anos de Universidade Pública e nada mais justo do que reinvestir esse conhecimento.
